At the beginning, I thought that I knew quite much and that this book only brings forth things that I already know, with maybe some extra information. How wrong was I! By the time I reached the third part, I was so hooked - sometimes quite shocked - that it was hard to put the book down! I found myself in a marathon of wanting to know more, understand more, and take back the responsibility of my own choices and acts. If you think you know how influence works, let me tell you that this book will definitely show you there is more to it than meets the eye! That the things that you think you know are just the tip of the iceberg! And when you think that you finally got it, when reaching the part with the case studies, I’m sure you’ll be at least as surprised as I was. Simple, yet effective - this is how Antonia presents the studies and, in the end, leaves you wondering about the moral principles of the world we’re living in. I particularly enjoyed the recommendations (movies, books, documentaries), as well as the ending of each chapter with its advice and surprise boxes. And, to make sure you have the full perspective, Antonia also provides different techniques and a plan to recognise influence and use it to your advantage, but bearing in mind the necessity of discernment and moral behavior.
